You’re going to get a barrage of answers all telling you why one is better than the other.
It comes down to this: why do you want the console?
If it’s so you can play BluRays, go for the PS3.
If it’s because you enjoy playing online and a multitude of additional content enabled by being online, go for the Xbox.

actually i want to play games with my cousines ……… support for 4-8 players at same time ……….
Answer #3
8 players on the same console?
Neither will support this.
Answer #4
4 or 6 players …….. i mean with networking…..
Answer #5
It depends on the game dude.
Halo 3 supports up to 16 people in one game…however if you’re looking to play online with friends/family then wouldn’t it be important to have the same console as them?

xbox is much better for online. it has a much larger online community than the playstation. it has cross game voice chat so you can chat with freidns anytime you like no matter what game they are playing. only downside to it is that you have to pay for xbox live. but you get what you pay for.
but i would say the ps3 is better as like media center as it has bluray, bbc i player for UK ppl and web browser.

Excuse me? I think you’ll find the online and additional content to be the same if not better on the PS3.

Um if you want to play online and don’t mind paying then go for xbox 360
If you want to play online for free without the bells and wistles xbox live has then get a PS3
If you want to pirate games and prob get banned online then get a 360.

you said you want to play with your cousins? then this is something you and your cousins needs to decide, for example both of my brothers have ps3’s, but both my sisters love their 360s, i can usually join my sister for a online game of left4dead2 on the 360 and play my brother on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 when i want too, its really what consoles your family has, the downside is that its expensive to buy games you know.
Answer #16
Yeah what console does your cousins have?
Answer #17
its all boils down to several questions that have been asked:
1) do your cousins have a console already, i don’t think there are any cross platform servers for any games
2) what games do you like, many of the good games are console specific. in my case, its the 360
3) internet play, xbox charges but has a bigger collection of players. ps3 has it for free, but has fewer people and in my opinion, less good games.
4) money, the 360 costs more in the long run and probably in the short. the ps3 is cheaper but now has no backwards compatibility which is only a draw back if you want to play ps2 or ps1 games, the 360 has a great backwards compatibility.
5) which feels the best, i don’t like the ps3 controller because of my bad hands and the 360 have far better controllers imo.
6) screen size, ps3 uses blueray quality and therefore has a better res, but i don’t see much of a difference on a 42” (i think two ” means inches, im aussie)
