wndows stops booting

Hey guys
any ideas on how to make this start… the os starts to boot, eg it comes to the black screen with windows xp written and scrolls the blue bar… but then just goes to a black screen…

Try doing a repair install mate. You will need your Windows XP cd. Here’s a guide on how to do it:

if the repair doesnt work, try booting in safe mode and removing video drivers or scanning for viruses

you push F8 when its going through bios stuff ( the writing before windows load) and then choose safe mode

When the boot sequence begins (at any point before the black screen with the XP logo) hit F8 and you will be able to choose to boot into safe mode

There are other options after you press F8…You could try “Enable VGA mode” which will boot it up without video card drivers…Or try “Last known good configuration”..Or the ‘Troubleshooting mode”…
