Windows to go

August 9th, 2016

I was looking at buying a iron key w300 or w500 however what put me off is the fact that it will only work with Windows 8.1 or 10 enterprise edition which sucks
How can I A: find a enterprise edition of Windows 10
B: make Windows 8.1 pro work on the iron key
C: make another kind of encrypted portable os? That’s at least got use 3.0

Answer #1
Why not search on the forum for Windows 10 enterprise ?
The LSTB version is good if you want less app crap.
Answer #2
I’ve got LTSB on a 64gb Sandisk Extreme. Very fast and works great. I spent the $180 I saved on something else.
Answer #3
The ironkey has a limitation which is you can only have 2 partitions due to their hardware encryption if you go for something like a Kingston datatravler workspace you can have as much partitions as you want. Why does this matter ? Because you can have 3 partitions
EfI/Bios boot – Recovery and installation images – BitLocker Windows 10
And in the second partition you can place as much boot disks and windows installers as you wish which can be added to the boot menu.
On boot you will get the bit locker prompt as well as press f11 to load another os ie all your windows pe recovery images.
