Windows 8 Consumer Preview problem.

So my problem is that all the applications on metro are not working…when ever i click on any app, it just freezes at the logo and nothing happens.
Oh and how can i make windows 8 login automatically without having to write the password everytime i boot windows?

Did you run the compatibility test BEFORE installing? It should tell you if your programs were compatible in the first place.

Yep, fraps was the only app uncompatible, should i uninstall it?
Edit : Uninstalled fraps, Metro’s applications are still not working.

Which version of 8? I hear x64 is much more unstable… Did you do an upgrade install or a clean one? If it’s the first, try backing your important files up and make a clean installation.

To login automatically:
Start Windows 8 and log into the user account. You are taken to the Metro UI start screen. Enter netplwiz and hit enter. This should open the User Accounts screen on the Desktop.
Locate the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” box at the top and uncheck it. Click the Ok button. This triggers a prompt where you need to enter the password for the username.
Just enter your password and the password confirmation in the prompt that opens. Windows “saves” that password for you, so that you do not have to enter it anymore during log on.
