Windows 7 freezing!
August 7th, 2016
ADATA 1333 MHZ 4gb ddr3.
after placing this i hav been playing GTA 5 and a small lag but still undifferentiable from my previous ram was observed.(Previous was a 2*2gb umax 1333mhz)
windows experience index showed 7.4 for mine and 7.2 for him..hmmm that was surprising…
anway after this the nightmare came..was playin gta 5 ..power went off everything went off(crappy ups)..
after power came pc on gta on took 10 mins to load story mode ..
after that everytime i on my pc.. after 1 min it freezes cant do anything just mouse movement..restarted again the same problem..But safe mode works flawlessly..
The weird part is after i turn on my pc
if i quickly open gta v..it takes 10 min to load..but after the game has loaded occupying 3.95 gb of ram!!..the pc works just fine no freezing nothing even if i exit gta v..and use it for anything..even i am typing this here after that procedure…
Guys is it something related with that ram or did any system file got corrupted after that interrupted power supply..or is it my HARD DISK???? My pc :
core i3 2100
asus gts 450
450 watt smps
adata 4gb 1333mhz
intel mb
Well as a first attempt, given that everything works under safe mode, you should try reinstalling some drivers, probably the graphics one first. You may just have solved the problem yourself.
Do these two integrity checks to see if there is something corrupted:sfc /scannow
chkdsk yourpartition: /f
If safe mode works fine, that indicates you have something running in the background that is screwing everything up
I uninstalled the gpu drivers and restarted..even before trying to install it again freezing came . Meanwhile what all drivers shud i reinstall?

I hav a small suspicion if any virus is hogging my ram.But I can’t see a thing that hogs any mem in task manager.infact it uses only 30 percent of my ram..
I hav no idea what to do now
1. run a virus scan
2. clear all the temp files
3. check whether any unknown services or startup things running in msconfig
4. defrag registry and hard disk
5. right click C: drive or any other drive you have and go to its properties. Then click on tools then select error checking’s check now option. check mark both automatically fix file system errors & scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
6. after the process completes use iobit gamebooster software to play the game and select gta 5 in its defrag option and defrag it as well.
if this doesnt solve the problem then reinstall the game.
hope it works.
