Win7 Installation error

Like the description says im trying to install windows 7 and getting an error message, oxc000009e
I have xp on a partition and it works fine, have win7 home on another and i want to install over it as it does not boot right and i want to upgrade.

Do you want to install over it, or upgrade. You would get more responses if you would be much more specific with your post.

Boot from Acronis disk director cd, and delete the partition that you have the Win 7 Home on.
Create a new partition and install your fresh version of Win 7 onto it.
Backup any data you want to keep from the Win 7 Home partition first, if you can’t boot into it, then boot from a live linux cd such as Ubuntu to get your data.
I hope that’s what you want to do anyway, lol

Yeah that’s what i want to do, i needed xp for a college assignment just didn’t relies it’d overwrite the windows 7 boot command so thought i might as well get ultimate while a can!!
