Can they track? Yes.
Will they track? Maybe, it’s up to them to decide…
It’s their computer and network they can install remote monitoring software and see every screen in the company just like they’re sitting in front of it if they want…
Answer #17
if you are downloading to company equipment, you are dead meat. Is keeping your job worth it?
Of course they can track you. If one of your co-workers see’s or know’s you are not working and
downloading (or your boss)…Is keeping your job worth it?
People are just stupid to mess with illegal stuff on company time and equipment. Start putting your resume together

Answer #20
I really hope you’re not using torrents?
Answer #21
well.. using the normal IT systems they can show graphs of who is using the internet categorized via AD.
Which means that if you are using high bandwidth they can easily spot you and your sites. history+current connections.
Incase the company has 10MBIT connection and you’re abusing it for unrelated work sites and download, it’s up to them what they do..
for ex, they could block those sites or fire you.. or just call you up and let you know not to do that again..
bottom line is, it’s detected, everything you do on your company computer is traceable even if you “just visited once” or deleted history+cookies+whatever.
it’s all written and logged.
Answer #22
Use VPN, they will see you have high data trafic, but they will not know what kind, and it is matter of time before the admin will know who make the traffic…
