Will Star Wars: The Old Republic have a subscription fee?

I’ve never played an MMO before, but I’m a big fan of the Star Wars franchise, so the game intrigues me…however I think there’s a monthly subscription fee for games like WoW, so if that’s the case, I probably will pass on it.
Does anyone know?

You bet man, they have been developing this game for almost 4 years. Expect it to be about $15 bucks a month (so they can compete with WoW).

Considering the amount of time you’d spend on it a monthly rate of less than $20 a month is pretty cheap.
