Will logical partition work for mac

i had wd 1tb hardrive ntfs and wanted to copy files from mac to it but it doesnt let me, so i downloaded partition magic and converted it to logical partition which i dont know what it means, does anyone know if it will work for mac to read and write so i can copy files from mac to it, and i have a windows xp 64 bit pro, if i connected my hardrive back the the xp will it work or not.

I am unsure if the Mac OS X has integrated the new NTFS software that other *NIX systems have which support reliable writing to NTFS. That would explain your problem as it sounds like you are able to read from the hard drive but not write to it. The following blog post may help you:
