What country you live in?
Since most company are based in USA and i live in AU in a way im safe.
Just label your pc under the DMCA license.. ..

using rapidshare links is by far the safest way to download stuff, there is literally no chance of being caught.
p2p is the absolute worst, followed by public torrents. private torrents are quite safe, however.
You only get busted if you sell it. Just keep the movies for yourself.
In New Zealand its pretty much imposible to get busted even if you told the whole country!
What are p2p sites? Is mediafire, megaupload, and filefactory p2p?

Torrents, specifically. You have a much higher chance of getting caught if you download with torrents. If you do, PeerGuardian2 is the best proggy you can have to filter IPs out.

The Problem is no one is safe. Im almost certain rapidshare logs everything, all it takes is a anti piracy lobby group to launch a lawsuit against .org or even rapidshare and everyone’s info is compromised. The thing i like about torrents is if your a supplier then your pritty safe, because in bitttorent everyone connects to everyone in a swarm and downloads off everyone so it is very hard for people like the MPAA to track you(the supplier). Like for movies i would use torrents, but everything else i use RS links.
If you look throughout history only a select few have been charged with piracy. Like the guys who release Star wars episode III before the release in the cinema got fined and jailed. Or some guy got a 250 grand fine for video camming, Just do not be stupid and just download and your good

They usually come after people who are sharing files to others. P2P works that way that you automatically share everything you download, which puts you in potential danger every time. Rapidshare and similar hosts are much safer, because you only download files, you do not share them to others while doing so.

the people who get busted are the ones who sell the pirated copies of the movies.
if you use them for your own needs then you should be fine, i mean heeeeeeeps of people do it around the whole world.

The FBI has better things to do than to chace down a kid downloading movies coz lets face it if they wanted to do that they would and they dont. its the movie/music/game companys that go after ppl and they will go after the ppl distributing it if you will (limewire and sites like piratebay)

Don’t download of P2P or Torrent programs and you’ll be absolutely find. Use Rapidshare and/or other HTTP sources only. And of course don’t make it known to the world or even your whole school that you pirate, otherwise you might face some unpleasant surprises. Just keep it to yourself and some trustworthy friends.

yea about China i just went there last month i flew from the USA and they waited til we were 50 miles of the coast and then they started playing pirated movies it was hecka funny. and also i didnt kno i should be as secretive about as to not even tell my school. thanks i fell safer btw
