Wii “System files are corrupted”

December 12th, 2013

Hi,
I just opened the “DARKCORP 1.1” app from the Homebrew menu and clicked the uninstall option. (I read on another forum that it’s best to uninstall the old version of it first, before installing the new one)
I left it to do it’s thing, then when I came back the Error “System files are corrupted” was showing.
It now shows every time I turn the Wii on.
Is there a way I can fix this?
Thanks for the help!

Do you have a backup of your nand?

Installing Darkcorp was a terrible idea if you don’t have a NAND image.
Right now your Wii is basically paperweight.
Even if you had Boot 2 updated with Boot2v4, you could still manage to restore the Wii using the Infectus, minor programming and soldering required.

Hey. Thanks for all the suggestions! Turns out I (luckily) had Preloader installed, so I installed Darkcorp and it fixed the problem.
All the games are working fine as well now, so all is good.
Thanks again.
