Wifi probleme

I installed windows 7, I also have a wirelss adaptar (compatible with w7) its installed. When I try to connect to my wireless access point, it asks for a network security key, I type it and its saying its incorrect, in the same box its got ‘you can also connect by pushing the button on the router’ When I push it, nothing happens (i dont know what its saying)
I qalso tried manually adding the network by ssid, key type etc. But its simply not working!
I tried the same adaptar on another windows 7 installation and it works fine there… please help me plz
I have also rebooted the computer fresh install still same problem. Also there is a button on my adapatar saying ‘WPS’ I think i pressed it by accident, what is that 4?

If they key is incorrect its incorrect… Just set new wireless pass and use WEP.

Hi ,
I disabled the security, that works. I’m worried about using WEP. A few routers have been cracked in my street, they were all WEP keys, so I was thinking on the level of WPA/2.

Just use 128bit WEP.

Only you using it? WPA-PSK

I’ve tried:
WPA/PSK (TKIP/AES) – DONT WORK
WPA/2 – DONT WORK
WEP – DONT WORK
No Pass – WORKS

You must be entering it wrong… WEP is the simplest remember to use CAPS when needed.

, i am doing it all correctly, i am entering the keys correctly, i even have another PC with the same copy of w7, when Iever do it on there it works fine, whatever the key type… :S
