2,500.00 for a 46inch LED-LCD?
I think in general Samsung TV’s have a better quality/price thing because Sony products are more expensive and often offer less performance. If you want to check out some reviews about the samsung tv, check out this link http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE55F8000STXXU-reviews/expert-reviews

It’s not even a Full HD, it’s HDTV …
I’d say go with LG which is a high quality brand, but you can’t go wrong with Samsung either.

My bad… got confused between HDTV and HD Ready
This might not be the right place to ask, you should check out forums that specialise. Samsung and Sony used to be a safe bet and are still among the best but you should do a search for Samsung / Sony and panel lottery. I recently intended to buy a Samsung, but after some investigation involving going to the shop and getting the guy to open the service menu, I discovered that the model I wanted had an inferior Sharp screen / panel, not an official Samsung one.
Be careful not be caught out…
opt sony for quality, samsung for features
I prefer Samsung TVs myself, although I would never be able to afford one that expensive; lucky you!
The top HDTV brands include names like LG, Samsung, Sony, and Toshiba. Personally, I have been a Sony person for their quality and design, but Samsung is also great and ideally be my second choice!
