Where can I get subtitles for movies ?

August 6th, 2016

Sometimes when I get movies (by the way I only get english movies) where I can tell obviously this movie needs subtitles for some small parts that they are not talking english. So instead of searching and possibly having to redownload the same movie to just get that srt file that is included with the movie is kinda a waste of time. Is there some kinda of database of sorts that have these srt files for movies ? What sucks you don’t know if you need subtitles until you start watching the movie. Maybe you guys have tips maybe. I wish they would just hard code all subs for this certain movies. thanks
I have a couple of questions about srt files also.
I know that srt file has to have the same exact name as the video file for it to work, but what happens if the srt file is for extended version of the movie and the movie you have is the standard edition or vice versa ? I assume the srt just won’t.

I can’t tell you about subtitles since I didn’t download subtitles for a long time.
But those two above should be more than enough.
But usually all movies I download from here, their subtitles are ok.

If your movie has .mkv extension you can always merge subtitle with the MKVToolNix program….
Yep, subtitle won’t work since duration of extended version is longer than the standard one.
Maybe some parts could be ok, but that is usually at the beginning to the first scene which isn’t available in standard version.
Cheers
