What is a good Camera to buy for Photography/Journalism?

I was thinking the canon eos rebel t3 what do you guys recommend?

You’re on the right track but the t3 is quite honestly a plastic toy. You would be MUCH more happy with a t3i which you can get very cheaply when you find it on sale.

Whatever you get I say 90% is about the lens. The other 10% is the size of the sensor.

The 1100D you are looking at is only an entry level camera, with a 12MP sensor.
It all depends on how much you want to spend on what to get, and what you will be photographing, so as to know what lenses/filters etc to get.
