IP Wireless Camera Help

August 3rd, 2013

Need some help…
I got an IP Wireless Camera today,
only problem is the Software on the CD given is for Windows,
well I have an iMac…
i’ve managed to get the Camera Webpage up after finding the IP Address for it,
but it shows on there Download OCX.exe
well again, I dont have Windows…
Is there anywhere I can get that OCX file for a Mac?
or does anyone know another way to sort this?
thanks.

Answer #1
what make and model is the wireless camera?
Answer #2
Im not sure, on the Device Information page it says:
Software version:
vs1.1
Hardware versions:
oem demo board 1.1 (2009.04.30)
Device ID number:
09-070711

the Website I got given to use is:
www.maygion.com
on the ‘Video surveillance’ page it says Download OSX.exe and the Camera doesnt show,
but on the ‘Phone monitoring’ page the Camera shows up and I can move it etc.
This is the one I have:

look underneath or at the back of the webcam (may be a company sticker) there ought to be product no or model no.
that would be more help than device information.
Answer #4
I want to get this Wireless but im totally lost on what I need to put where!!
it obviously works as I have a picture when going onto ‘Phone monitoring’ which I can also access on my iPad aswell,
but the Camera is still plugged into the Ethernet, I want it Wireless…..
These are Screenshots from the Network panel….

and no there is no Sticker, it’s some Chinese product,
the CD I had with it is just a normal CD with ‘IP Camera Drivers’ written on it,
also the Manuel is just printed paper stapled together.
basically just need this Wireless then im sorted, but I have no clue when it comes to the IP and what other details I need to put in.

Answer #6
Not really, if you check the screenshots in my previous image…
im not sure what im supposed to put where…
I know the IP Address and Subnet Mask but nothing else.
Answer #7
Log on to the router page there you can find can get SSID, WEP/WAP information…
P.S: start–>run–>ipconfig (get the default gateway address and type in browser that would be your router log on page).
Enter the router page and look under “wireless” and also “security”.
Answer #8
Damn it… forgot the User and Password for the Router page, have to ask my Brother when hes home.
I got the appropriate codes though,
I put them into the page for the Camera and it said about Restarting…
but now whenever I go onto that IP Address for the Camera, I get a Error page,
so annoying!
Answer #9
have you changed the ip address of the camera..??
for the username and password just google it. for eg linksys uses a default user and password as “admin”.
Answer #10
I dont think so, just put in my Network IP, Gateway and Subnet Mask into this page:

Answer #11
On my IP Scanner it’s still coming up with the correct IP Address…
but when trying to go onto that IP Address on my Browser… nothing comes up and I get an Error saying the page cant be found
:-/ confusing!!
But my iPad 2 is picking up on that IP Address, so why isn’t my iMac?
