What eats so much memory on my website server?

November 10th, 2013

My website nerdorgeek.com has at max 600MB of memory (not HDD space) and only has 60MB left. The website is made with wordpress, I have a lot of plugins, what do you think is eating all the ram?
Answer #1

Answer #2
IF its a bandwith space its space abut visiting and 600mb is really low. So that space is reset every month.
If not please be a more specific and give us some screenie.

Are you running a Linux or similar server? Linux will use free RAM as a cache and only leave a little that is completely unused. This cached RAM is still available for use should the web server or other system services require it. Have a look through this website for more information:

600mb is low!
You can try giving exclusive access to users on your website to reduce traffic

jasonxman replied: I have a lot of plugins.
1. Trust me, this is exactly the problem, too much plugins can kill your site. Just use the plugins you need… not ALL the plugins your think are useful.
I suggest you install and activate WP-Super Cache and WP-Minify, google for instructions.
