Weird keyboard problem on Gigabyte GK-KM7600 Combo Wireless

January 27th, 2020

This one’s a bummer.
Gigabyte GK-KM7600 Combo Wireless Deluxe keyboard + optical mouse, USB, Black – ordered it for a friend and has a weird issue. Did everything step by step:
1 – batteries in mouse and keyboard – CHECK
2 – insert USB receiver – CHECK
3 – Windows 7 automatically installs everything – CHECK
4. – install additional drivers for Hotkeys to properly work – CHECK
5. . after installation of these drivers Windows says RESTART so I did and;
all is fine but when typing – from the tilda key, then 1 to 5 – they work. 6 to BACKSPACE it’s a no go. Also Q to T, but Z to the end – nothing. A to G works again, H to the end – nothing. Y to B works – N, M, , . – do not work.
It came with batteries, changed them. Same thing. Different USB ports for the NANO receiver, nothing. Didn’t work at my PC, doesn’t at his.
Any clues since gigabyte official site has nothing and google is not a very good friend of mine concerning this product?

I already contacted the re-seller, but I hope to fix it before they respond – cuz ’tis weekend after all, and I’d hate to see my friend without his new toy for another 2 days.
Thanks in advance, cheers!!!

Wow!
When looking for a nice (and hey it’s Gigabyte so it has to be good) design/quality ratio over money for this one I found all these positives. Now, when looking back all I see is bad reviews from users cuz the damn thing has so much flaws. If anyone else knows how to resolve this issue, think i’ll try with an extended USB for the Nano and stick it to the table where no speakers or any devices can interfere with it’s ‘connection’. Good god, I should’ve went to Neweggs for this one. So many dissapointed people. (regarding this product, anyway.)
