webcam

hello,
tomorrow i am going out and purchasing a webcam.. my girlfriend recently purchased a new laptop at best buy and it has a build it camera and she wants to cam with me. However, her camera is much better than my old logitech and her pitcture is nice and clear and smooth and i want to be able to produce the same quality for her. I am looking to spend un $40.00. It has 30 frames per second and has decent reviews and it is a nice price. Will 30 frames per second produce a nice and clear and smooth quality? Like no choppyness like it is an amateur cam ya know lol

Resolution is the better thing to look at
don’t buy from radio shack
try newegg.com or even best buy

is 640×480 good? and i always though frames per second mattered

well it does but resolution is what allows you to have a bigger picture
640×480 is a fairly small box but at 30fps it’s not that bad

Laptops usually have a 1.3 MP built in webcam.
So you should look for around a 1.3MP, good resolution (640×480+) and 30 fps. 30 fps is any movie fps.

Yep there good cam lifecams. The quality all depends on what messenger your using aswell. Skype is great quailty, same as oovoo.

most of the Webcams are 30!
If you are using Skype.. then go for normal one or if you are using Windows Live the go for some best Cams… coz Windows Live offers HD
