Viewing a BLu-Ray movie on my HDTV without having to burn it
February 8th, 2020
Just wonding whats the best way to view blu-ray downloads on my HD tv. I’ve a new PS3 which i use to play my purchased Blu-rays.
I dont have a Graphics card with HDMI so cant conntect it that way..
Any ideas or tips would be great
there is a program (with some russian name if i remember correct.) that lets you connect via the internet to your ps3 and you can move what ever files you want over there. You can also do this easy with Vuze.- But the point of what files it will actually play from the HDD(ps3) i have no clue of.
Buy a western digital HD media player it hooks to ur tv with a hdmi cable plays mkv files in up to 1080p spent less than 200 on box and external hdd and I watch the mkvs and it’s like a bluray on ur tv
Does your TV have a VGA port?
Does your TV have a VGA port?
the vga port is not high definition connection you would have use DVI Connection Types to get high definition

No need to buy extra hardware to support ba rubbish standerdless container.
Install Twonky, Delete the crap sources and copy your newly liberated files to a shared folder (Or set the program to output to one)
Open the files on the PS3s DNLA browser

Actually VGA has no resolution limit, so you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

the problem is that VGA is analog while HDMI is digital, meaning there is always the chance of quality loss when using a VGA cable, this is not the case when using HDMI, cause with digital you have 2 options: it works, or it doesn’t,

Vga does do 1080p and you will see little to no quality difference between it and hdmi as long as you’re running the signal short distances (less than 10ft).
Mkv2vob and a nice external hd is a great option though.
