upgrade of original vista to copy win7?
July 31st, 2016
i have a problem and couldnt find the answer on google )
i have a laptop which is original vista loaded. you know vista is a terrible OS. i want to upgrade it to win7. but i dont have original win7 or an original win7 upgrade key.
can i upgrade it with a copy win7 dvd whichever i downloaded from this site??
what is going to be to my original vista key? or do i have to format and load a clear copy of win7? (
thanks for answers
I dont think that you can upgrade like that ( without of upgrade key or something ) I think that best thing will be to format and do a clean install ( download Untouched ISO Windows 7 from here )!
thanks
does anyone know about my problem?
You can upgrade using the DVD. Since it will assume its store bought, you can use the 7 key on it but im not sure if will let you install it as a trial and input a key later. But i don’t recommend the upgrade, it’ll leave more errors and whatever junk that was left behind in Vista will follow as well. Just install fresh copy, without formatting. Installing 7 on your vista partition will move all your stuff to a windows.old folder where you can copy out all your important data before deleting that folder safely
like said a untouched iso would deff be the way to go..and you cant use the same serial key…but when you install windows 7 set updates to “check for updates but let me manually download/install” and make sure you know what update your installing… theres a update from feb-10th called KB971033 that disables pirated copies ignore that one…use a program off here called “removeWAT” and youll be fine..i been using a untouched since january no problems…
thanks guys
i think the best advice is zN_ber Leet’s one. im gonna do it. thanks again
