TV Show’s Web-DL

Does any one have any idea what the scene groups use as the source for their WEB-DL’s?

I believe quite a bit of it is captured via a HD capture device and uploaded.
Others are webrips from various subscriptions.

most of the time the web-dl’s are the 720p iTunes files
