Trouble installing xfx geforce 9400 GT card
July 25th, 2016
I’ve searched everywhere on the net but I can’t seem to fix this problem.
I’m running a Gigabyte GA-945GMF-S2 motherboard and Vista Ulimate 32 bit.
I’m trying to install the above mentioned graphics card…but can’t seem to find a way to disable the onboard graphics.
I’ve been right through BIOS and there is no option.
I can’t even install the drivers for the card.
It seems that vista won’t detect the card.
I think the card is seated properly…cause I can hear the fan running.
I’ve been at this for hours…so any help would be great.
Thanx in advance
try directx, sorry i could be of help.

Thanx for your quick reply mate.
But what do you exactly mean?
Try this, go into the bios main page then press Ctrl-F1 to unhide Advanced Chipset Features. Then set it to then go to AGP & P2P Bridge Control

Thanx mate…but it dosen’t give me that option in advanced chipset features,
but atleast I found the init display section…but still nothing.
I must be doing something wrong…I just know it.
It WILL be there in the BIOS. You must have missed it.
Ok..so I have gone into BIOS and selected pci as the initial display and also disabled onboard grapics in device manager….but still the card isn’t detected.
I’m still only getting display from the onboard. Should I get any display from the onboard?
You have to select PCI-Express as the initial display.
You have to select PCI-Express as the initial display.
It only gives me pci or onboard/peg as options.
