TinyVista annoyances !

January 28th, 2020

Okay ive just about had it with tiny vista – First this is a nice fast Vista Ultimate edition that runs well. Except for 3 annoying errors: #1 When ever i open a window i get the explorer failed to load and have to shut down window and reopen it for it to open properly, i have to do this every damn time!
#2 I can no longer rename folders – comes up with folder doesn’t exist!
#3 Sometimes i cannot move or copy a folder to another folder?
Have read, the above is because i downloaded the updates, i read elsewhere that vista will crash if the right click menu has programs added to it and to get it back working right go into the registry and delete those programs that are on the menu.
Where would i find them in the registry – these programs came with the installation. Another thing if updates make TinyVista act silly then is the only way to fix the problems is to go back before updates or can i fix this without having to uninstall updates.
Help!

I’ve never used a chopped version of Vista but have used several different flavors of them with XP and found Updates gave most of them fits and so I stopped trying to update. In the end I use such versions on inferior equipment only and my instincts tell me it would be better to use a full version of XP than a hacked down version of Vista.

Yeah i think your right might go back to XP and stay away from these hacked ones. Ive tried many and they all come with some bug! Im having problems burning dvds as well.

Funny – that never happened to me on VistaTiny, what version you got, it’s up to V2 (best) and V3 (bloated for some reason).
I tried V for a week, and reformatted back to XP.. Vista is rubbish, slow to run, and takes you 5 times as many mouse clicks and sub windows to do anything!
