Tiny7
January 26th, 2020
I download the eXPerience version of Tiny7, I then used HJsplit to join the zip files together. After this I used Winrar to unrar the iso image. I got a 699mb iso file, as stated in the write up.
I then used imgburn at 2x write speed to burn the ISOimage to DVD.
I did this using TinyXP so my Dad could use Tiny7 on his laptop.
He partitioned the disk and tried to boot from the DVD but it came up with a message saying there was a file missing on the DVD.
Thanks in advance for any help.
its 699MB so try going for a CD instead(better go with a rewritable cos you can use it again and again)
try burning again and see if it works if it doesnt then may be try downloading from somewhere else
did you get the one from here or somewhere else if its from here also check for the comments on that topic
Thanks for the reply , I got it from a link on this site, and it had a good few pages of positive feedback. I will try burning to CD instead.
You can also put it on an USB stick that is at least 1GB large. Follow these steps to format the USB stick (it deletes your files, so make a backup of them!)
1) http://dotnetwizard.net/vista-stuff/tips-how-to-bootinstall-windows-7vista-from-usb-flashhard-drive/
2) Then mount your tiny7 image in Daemon tools (if you don't have Daemon tools, you can find it here: http://www.disc-tools.com/download/daemon)
3) Go to the DVD where you mounted the files (a virtual DVD created by Daemon, called Tiny7 x86)
4) Copy these files to your USB stick
5) Boot your computer from USB
