Stupid mam broke laptop!

She slammed the front down and now when she switches it on the “Acer” screen comes up then after that it just stays Black! anybody know what i can do?

You have to buy another one, this ones dead.
Warranty doesn’t cover damages caused by accidents.

she has just bought it like 1month ago! lol, is there not anyway to fix it =/ ? she only slammed it shut.

There could loads of different options which could be broken. I suppose you have to take to a repair shop where they can have a look at it. Unless you have the expertise to open it up yourself?

If under warrantee, then take it to the warrantee repair place and don’t say you slammed it

it says a file is currupted or missing now? think a repair disk should do it…. but the problem is i dont have one and the laptop has “Windows Vista HOME PREMIUM”

Do exactly what .::. said. Just say all of a sudden it didn’t work after a day of normal use. If they say something like this “This can’t happen normally” just keep cool and say well it just did happen. Don’t do what I said if there are obvious damage marks over the lid etc.

It is not dead. If it was slammed then the hard drive is broken they are fragile.
Try using system recovery if that wont work then replace the hard drive.
If the hard drives making weird noises like click click click then its broken or if its not spinning then its broken.
All laptop hard drives are about as thin as a micro sd card if they take a good bashing the internal disk will break.
this has happened to me.

Dont do any other thing than return to supplier for repair its a month old and so long as there is no sign of physical damage getit back
as for hard disc being fragile they are a damn sight more robust than that particulary laptop drives they will stand an higher g force shock than you will its probably a loose connector but let the supplier sort that

this has happened to me. Maybe not that thin, about 4mm, but still pretty damn thin.
