Streaming Live Sports Prob..

January 31st, 2020

Hi I weekly stream live sports from a site which has access to the same stream from multiple hosts (each stream is independent and some better then some, at times or graphics..). The problem I have with all of them is sometimes the sound works great and I can hear what is going on but the video either stops to a scene each 5 seconds or goes really dodge..
I presume it is a problem with the streamer considering the sound is fine and the video goes dodge? But could this possibly be a problem on my end?
(edit) Ohh yeah one other prob I could see which could be effecting it and I would like info on is part of flash viewer either had a servere problem or had a virus and was using 100% CPU and programs wouldnt run properly. I deleted the .exe and now constantly get a message on startup stating windows can now find or start ….exe Ive tried to disable this as a startup device or program, but there is no info of it as a startup item, and I presume it must be a registry startup which I wouldn’t have a clue how to find.. Could this be part of the problem, or any one know how to stop it as a start up to stop the error message on start up?

Answer #1
could be your bandwidth as well. what site you using? alot of pop ads are for some BS flash player that you have outdated and needs to be installed, these are always fake viruses
Answer #2
Doesn’t sound like sophisticated malware, try a system restore or if you have a registry backup use that. Should prevent it from loading which is all that matters.
Otherwise, AVG tends to be one of the better AVs for clearing malware.
As for your video issue, Inconsistent ping could suffice for sound, but not for smooth video.
If its consistent and 200 ms or less, you can rule that out.
If you use integrated video instead of dedicated card that easily be the culprit as well.
Finally, the less obvious and more likely cause is the browser you use.
I suggest you try your website with all browsers, and you will see a difference from browser to browser.
