Sony vegas 11 error

i just downloaded it and instill it but when i go and drag a video file in its says
none of the files dropped in vegas sony could be open.
oh i have 64bit one

What kind of files are you referring to? (extension,codec used)
From my limited experience with Vegas,I can tell you that it doesn’t support xvid avi’s.
