Sony Laptop Display Issue

August 6th, 2016

It has been for months that my Sony Laptop VGN-NR31Z/S which runs on Vista has a serious technical issue: after working on it for awhile, suddenly lines appear on the whole screen:

I thought that it was software issue, I reinstalled the windows, but after a while the problem reappeared. Then it must be a hardware problem… the garantee time of my laptop is over. I tried to run it without battery, the problem persisted..
Do you guys have any clue about the issue? Thanks in advance!

Answer #1
May be its the problem with your Graphic Driver problem ? If you have already installed it then uninstall it(or you can disable it) and see if it works If you havent then get the correct driver for your laptop, not the latest one but the one thats correct version that is the one thats supposed to come in your driver CD
Answer #2
Get the correct driver.also check on another display.
Answer #3
I’d say take it to the service center.
Doesn’t look like something a driver reinstall would fix
Answer #4
Thanks for your replies. I’m afraid it is not the driver issue, I have reinstalled the right driver but the problem still persists. Yes, I think I have no choice but to take it to Sony service center.
Answer #5
could be a temp problem if it starts after a while
you don’t see this on the boot screen ?
even with a reboot after it starts ?
Answer #6
Today it has been the worst of all time: even after restart, taking battery off.. the problem persists, and it kills my eyes. I can be a temperature problem, because it used to appear after awhile, and a part of my laptop is as hot as hell.
Answer #7
