SOLVED:Keyboard mapping

My keyboard for my laptop is in the European layout where the left shift is divided into a shift key and the \ key.
How can I remap the \ key so that it also functions as shift.
Remapping keys does not seem to be an option in bios, and another \ is present on the keyboard, therefore meaning that the \ key that has occupied the left shift space can be removed.
I have tried a keyboard remapper and it doesn’t seem to recognize that the left shift key has been divided.
