[solved]how to block video sites

can anyone please tell me a way to block all online video sites..
including youtube, metacafe…..and many porn video sites out there..
i cant disable adobe flash player bcoz i need it for some other websites like
facebook chat and gmail chat…

add their url to hosts file that is one way of blocking them

If you are using ESET Nod32 as your antivirus do the following:
> Setup
> Expand Antivirus and Spyware
> Expand Web access protection
> Expand HTTP
> Blocked addresses
Click “ADD” and then add to the text field *youtube* and click “OK”. This will do the job.
If you don’t have Nod32 then you can use AdBlock plus to block the whole domain of youtube (I didn’t try this, but it may work imo).

but i cant do wat u hav told…
bcoz…that way, i’ll have to enter URLs of all video sites…and i am sure there are loads of them out dere..
bcoz..i dont want to block jus youtube….i want to block all video sites…

Install ‘Adblock Plus’ on firefox .. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
Than go to ‘Preferences’ :

Click ‘Add Filter’ , type ‘.swf|’ , press ‘OK’.

Than go on youtube to test it :

its not showing .
(ofc, after adding .swf, add few more extensions (.flv .mp4 .mov. .wmv etc) )
