[SOLVED THANKS] google defauts to .au I want to force .com

Anyone know how I can stop Google from defaulting to .au. No matter what I put in the homepage link it refreshes to .au and I want to force .com
using Firefox

Ahh yeah, thought of that, thanks lion.
I actually just found a solution. Set the homepage to
http://www.google.com/ncr
I have no idea why you have to do that. Its very frustrating that google thinks they know what people want all the time.
