[SOLVED] Problem in installing 3.5 netframework windows xp

i want to download it to run a game but when i install it setub stop itself & give an error that you must install windows installer 3.1 to complete installation.microsoft.net framework 3.5 requires that windows installer 3.1 be installed prior to the installation. & when i install 3.1 windows installer it says that system have newer service pack there no need of this update to install ! what should i do piz help !(i am window xp user sp3)

1. .Net Framework 3.5,
2. .Net Framework 1.1,
3. .Net Framework 1.1 SP1

Are you on Service Pack 3? If Yes, get Windows Installer 4.5.
