:SOLVED: Pandora’s Battery issue

January 21st, 2020

I have a Pandora battery (labled “TOOL”) and it worked fine on my Darth Vader PSP to install CFW 3.71 M33 (I now have 5.0 M33-2). Well, then it sat for a month and now will not work and will not charge. So I experimented with the program on the CFW to make a pandora’s battery from the PSPs existing battery. It made it but now my PSP will not recognize it. (ie. will not charge and will not be under “System Settings/ Battery Settings”) So the pandoras program will not see the battery in my PSP. It says “battery not detected” “Exiting”. So now I have a F-ed up PSP Slim battery (3.6V, 1200mAh, PSP-S110) that I cannot turn back into a normally functioning battery. Is there ANY way to get it back to a normal battery? I cannot go to any previous CFW’s because I now have no pandora’s battery. I realy do not want to buy a new battery either. Any suggestions?

Answer #1
So you bought the first ”tool” battery and you made the second one….
How are you charging the battery… first the psp in the charger then the battery right…
Els look for some one with the good battery to fix yours
Answer #2
You cannot make a slim battery into a pandora. Sorry to say, but you’ve ~ censored ~ it up.
Only Phat battery’s can be converted.
There might just be a way to save it, but its risky and I don’t know if it it’ll work 100%
Dont recommend it:

The first “TOOL” battery does not work anymore. Which is why I tryed to make a second one by hand. PSP in the charger then the battery still will not charge it. I have tryed several ways to charge it. The PSP simply acts like there is no battery.
I will see what is there on the forum.
I am not wanting to rip appart the battery.

don’t follow that guide, it will never get back to normal that way.
sorry to burst your bubble here mate but i made myself a slim pandora battery. It is “recommended” not to in the readme but thats only cause hellgate hadn’t tried it as he didn’t have a slim. It worked for me fine.
Back on the topic……..
If your batter isn’t being recognised i recomend booting from the charger and
Full shut down psp
Hold R and turn it on to enter recovery mode
Go into advanced
select “format flash 1 and reset settings” this fixes alot of little bugs CFW’s can have
*note*
i edited alot of stuff out as i didn’t fully get your first post but all good now
