[Solved] How verify graphics driver installed
January 20th, 2020
Install AIDA64. It’s hardware information software and should give you the model type, then you can check your driver against those offered for download on the ATI site.
actually problem is that.. when my friend has this graphics card I saw its properties by DXDIAG. It showed me card is 1002mb. BUT! now I have installed this card into my system and installed driver randomly and it is showing me now 256mb instead of 1002mb. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

DXDIAG is Direct X software. Just think about it, the way they construct graphics cards, would they really put such an odd amount of RAM like 1002mb on it???????!!!!!!!! 256mb is much more likely is it not!

you mean, it is 256mb right?

You GPU seems to have 256MB of dedicated memory while 1002MB is the shared graphics memory. Depending on the configuration, GPU’s can be instructed to take advantage of the RAM (shared memory) if the GPU is low on dedicated memory. That is why you’ve ended up with an odd number.
DXDIAG is not a good indicator of your GPU specifications. Try a specialised software like GPU-Z to accurately determine the make and model of your GPU.

From the relevant information you get, try downloading the appropriate driver or you might end up having a glitchy system.

AIDA64 is a good piece of software, but for this purpose, it might be an overkill. OP, for GPU profiling, try GPU-Z, for CPU profiling, try CPU-Z. A good general hardware profiler is Speccy and the best bit is that all of these softwares are absolutely free.

Hope this helps. Cheers.
dxdiag shows shared memory yes, it can be confusing. I have a 1GB card and it shows me “Approx. Total Memory 4045 MB”
thanks guys.. appreciated to all who answered. I am going to download GPU-Z.
