[SOLVED] Help needed on MP3 Cover Art Tool

January 29th, 2020

Hi Guys,
firstoff the question :
Which tool would you use to populate mp3’s with cover art images embedded in the ID Tag ?
Then :
Iam talking about 30k ish files , all files are in the following format :
Artist – Title.mp3
All Files have a valid ID3v2 Tag with at least Artist & Title Info , some have the Album and composer , some not … (Compilations mostly have the additional info). The ID3v2 tag has been filled using mp3tag , unfortunately I have not yet found a tool which will populate the cover art.
Strangely tho, when copying the files to my Android phone and using the CoverArt App, it works flawlessly, is there a similar prog available for Unix / Windows ?
Thanks in advance for any replies and help.

I found a program that does this but it comes with a number of toolbars and advert things with it, so i won’t post the link.
Still looking for you…
Edit:
OK – MediaMonkey.
It goes to Amazon, downloads the track/album images and auto-adds them to the tags for you.
Tried it here, it works.
Warning – it takes over your file associations, if you use a media plaey it will hijack them.
I’ll keep searching…
Edit:
This is a LOT better, but is also less user friendly. It still does the searching, but you have to click buttons and move between windows, etc.. still auto adds the tags though.
