[Solved] Dual boot problem

August 1st, 2016

So the problem is I use windows 7 as primary boot, at BIOS set ACHI.
When dual boot XP, I have to set to ATA so won’t BSOD, because XP won’t recognize ACHI, and my processor no advantage using ACHI mode. So, I decided to change to ATA mode forever for both XP and windows 7. But, windows 7 BSOD when I change to ATA mode, just like XP BSOD when I change to ACHI mode. Why windows 7 can’t support ATA mode? How to fix this?

Answer #1
XP will support AHCI, you just got to load the drivers. Many XP laptops are AHCI
Answer #2
My XP also can’t support AHCI. How to load the driver?
Answer #3
I am using TinyXP, and assume no AHCI driver for it.
