[SOLVED-Bandicam][UPDATED] Game play software recording advice

March 13th, 2019

I have a youtube web site with many of my game play videos. Lately the newish games are dragging down my frames per second when using FRAGS. I have used FRAPS for a couple of years now but 25-30 FPS recording is not working for me. So I am looking for another highly recommended game recording software.
I took a look at the top game recording software for 2015 from this link:
http://video-game-recorder-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
I have triple monitor setup and not many can record the center game play screen.
I want to record the center monitor where the game is played on of the 3
screens
#1-Mirillis Action! -I can record the center monitor and what ever is showing will get “desktop” recorded
-game play mode records all 3 screens, no game play mode for center monitor
-avi output jumps every second, so this not good
-mp4 output has steady smooth recording, -No compression of video output.
-Game recording capped at 60fps
-light, does not drag down your CPU #2-D3DGear
-This also can not record the center monitor
-I liked that the recorded FPS is 70-80’s like the actual game play
-light, does not drag down your CPU #3 PlayClaw … didn’t try yet
#4-Bandicam
-Good recording fps, can not record center monitor
-light, does not drag down your CPU Does anyone know of game recording software will recognize the game playing screen?
Action! will work for center monitor if I use the “desktop” option. But I can not
record the center monitor in “Game mode” as it will record all 3 screens.
Any personal experience with any other software?

Also check out Open Broadcaster Software (OBS)…

I dont have multi monitor support so cant test that functionality out for you. Apparently used by many Twitch users, but also has the functionality to record a file.. Guess all you can do really is give a number of recommended ones a go and see which one stacks up the best on your PC..

I tried the top 5 on that list. None can record a specific monitor. But they all can record the window the
game plays on the desktop which is good quality. The all are good.
Edit: think my final decision is Bandicam software. The 3 features that won me over are:
1-You can record 4K Ultra HD video at resolutions up to 3840×2160
2-only uses 10-15% of CPU
3-Frames per second up to 120 setting
I will mark topic as “solved”

Found my solution to playing on the center monitor of a triple monitor setup.
Software called: Windowed Borderless Gaming.
This software will make your game play in Windowed Mode “borderless”. The
other great thing is with this software, you can move the borderless screen to any location of your monitor, or in my case 3 monitors. My goal was to record
in center monitor and this was my solution. Make a quick youtube of the Windowed Borderless game play of Metal Gear Solid V:
