(Solved) all downloads corrupted

For the last week anything I download comes up as (CRC failed……….The Fileis Corrupted)I’ve run spywear and virus programs, uninstalled Jdownloader and Winrar
then re-installed them………and still the same results.. any help would be great..

Try running chkdsk. Open Command Prompt and type chkdsk. It will give you some information about the status of your HDD, and if there are any issues with it. You may need to run Command Prompt as an administrator.

It could be a problem with your memory.
Test it with:

5$ says its the HIPS. If you’ve got an internet security or endpoint security suite you’ll have to either turn off http checking or do your downloading in a virtual machine if you don’t want to reduce your security

experience this before.. and it’s true.. my RAM was the culprit behind every CRC error
when i replace my RAM.. extracting was back to normal and smooth

That’s what i had to do to fix the problem.. I tried everything and nothing worked.. after formating everything is working fine…thaks for all the advise I was given..

Great. Yeah, Windows sometimes behaves in inexplainable ways without any logic and rationality. A reinstall usually fixes all the “impossible” problems.
