Skyrim crash after Bethesda logo

I played Skyrim for sometime, then I downloaded a new driver for me graphical card (Radeon HD 5850). After that the game keeps crashing the moment the Skyrim main menu logo pops up.
I tried to change quality, install DirectX and reinstall the game couple of times (even in different hard drives)
Anyone knows how to fix this?

If it is the same problem 95% of everyone else is having, it can be fixed by:
right clicking the speaker icon in the tray > playback devices > right click speakers > properties > advanced > 24bit, 48000hz.
Could also try renaming the skyrim.ini to skyrim1.ini and trying to start the game (my docs/my games/skyrim)
