should i worry? about my bandwith

i have downloaded all the seasons of the office, and good luck chuck, and cloverfield in the past 24 hours….how much is to much…to the point where i shoud worry that my internet provider should see my bandwith is out of whack

Well if you don’t have bw limits, then I’m not sure if they would even check… I have dialup so I can’t say too much, but my friends have cable and I download shitloads and nothings went wrong. I’m sure some people here have downloaded straight for one year…

It all depends on how much your ISP let’s you download per month. Even if it’s unlimted, it could have the ‘fair use policy’, if you download too much they can punish you. I downloaded around 30GB in 1month and im with orange, they have unlimted download’s but with the ‘fair use policy’. They ended up reducing my internet speed from around 3MB to now around 50k [dailup kinda speed]. Been with that speed for about 2 monthes now and it’s annoyinggg. Looking for a new ISP like SKY. :mrredhat:

It depends on how much bandwidth you pay for, you should know!

Check your ISP’s homepage, find what internet deal your on with them and it will say how much your allowed to download per month. Even if you don’t download much per month and only downloaded ALOT this month, if you went other thier limit [if they have one] they can punish you aka reduce your speed or somthing.
