Comcast Bandwith Cap? & Six Strikes Anti-Piracy

January 28th, 2020

Does Comcast have a bandwith cap? I know they stated “enforcement of the 250GB data consumption threshold is currently suspended” but I want to make sure. I am around ~400GB on bandwidth this month. I believe they reset it every month or is it every billing cycle? I live in Michigan and I have not have any calls or email alerting me of anything and I been having around ~400+ each month so far.

Introduction
Frequently asked questions about excessive use of data.
What are the different plans you will be launching?
We'll be launching at least two approaches, and here is an overview:
In the Nashville market, we will increase our data usage allowance for all tiers to 300 GB per month and also offer additional gigabytes in increments/blocks (e.g., $10 per 50 GB).
In the Tucson market, we will increase our data usage allowance for XFINITY Internet customers subscribing to the Economy tier through the Performance tier from 250 GB to 300 GB. In addition, those customers subscribed to the Blast! tier will receive an increase to 350 GB, those subscribed to Extreme 50 will be increased to 450 GB, and those subscribed to Extreme 105 will be increased to 600 GB (see table below).
XFINITY Internet PackageNew Data Usage Allowance
Economy300 GB
Economy Plus300 GB
Internet Essentials300 GB
Performance Starter300 GB
Performance300 GB
Blast350 GB
Extreme 50450 GB
Extreme 105600 GB
In both approaches, we'll be increasing the initial data usage allowance for our customers from 250 GB per month to at least 300 GB per month.

the way i am reading it, maybe its wrong, but they will be charging you and extra 30 dollars because you are 150gb over 300gb economy. you should call and find out what is on your bill
personally i am more worried about this 6 strike thing that was annouced today, 2-25-2013

my bill still the same they charging me $51.95 on the internet. I never got a phone call that I abuse my bandwidth. does that mean I’m still good? I had my internet locked before but that was like 3-4 years ago.

but if you read other articles such as this one http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/02/25/six_strike_us_copyright_isp
it stated
“AT&T document suggests that stage five is letting the copyright holder sue the user, but the CCI plan doesn’t mention this directly.” but it doesn’t mean its true and comcast hasn’t state anything yet since we are still on the suspension of 250GB thank god because i been 400+ GBs
and no phone calls
Please remember to double check that all your links have been coded. #3.10 links must be coded - including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords and internal links.

oh sorry, I got a question six-strike is directly at torrent only right? so file sharing host such as ryushare, rapidshare, mediafire, etc are still safe? also only big company probably monitor there files not company that is out of state? such as asian movies, anime, and music from other countries?
Answer #7
directly at torrent only right?
any P2P file network, not just torrents, where PC’s are connected directly to each other
file hosts are still safe ……… for now anyway
not company that is out of state?
you won’t know who’s monitoring what till you get a “strike”
Answer #8
Just VPN Youre torrents ! ———> TorGuard or Astrill ! Comcast is getting eyeballed by the monopoly police, they just want to keep arse raping you monthly so dont give em a reason to flex! They want to leave you alone as much as they want to keep arse raping you monthly!
