dont do a desktop
looking at a15 inch if your a gamer dell ,toshiba, maybe HP $650/$1500 if you just doing movies/music HP $500/800 if you just need to keep files and get online the the acer would be fine, i wouldnt expect any performance from the acers
netbook are very limited and no cd drive
dell outlet has comps that people ordered and where put together but were not able to recieve for 1 reason or another $$ so there discounted and sold http://www.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/notebooks?c=us&cs=22&l=en&s=dfh&dgc=IR&cid=11343&lid=543237
maybe this will help you get a better machine for a cheaper price & warranted
Well, you just answered your own questioned.
back and forward to my parents houses every week, and draging along my desktop is painful.
Heres a couple more reason why you should 1. transportability and convenience
2. Less expensive then most Desktops 3. Energy savings
4.laptop in your lap, you in the bathroom toilet, jerking of to porn.
Depends on what you are using the laptop for. Repair on Laptops are not yet cost efficient (everyone who has worked on computers knows this is true.) Yet repair on Desktops are much easier and cheaper. Yes a desktop is more stationary then a mobile work device like the laptop but in some cases are better. It’s fun to have a laptop for war-driving but can be a pain if you like to work on things such as photo editing, Flash or 3D works. Yes some external pen tablets or wireless mouse may help.
If you just like to read email, program, view web pages… maybe chat on your facebook get a laptop. If you are more of a hardcore gamer or artist go with Desktop. The choice is yours.
seriously i would sell the desktop & buy a good laptop
my desktop is worth around 800-900$ cad its custom built, but yeah that might be a good idea
also @ the acer was another one i looked at but it didnt have good enough graphics, but i might have to go for it, and also the hp is i3, im looking for an i5, but yeah those are both good, thanks!
its good to have a laptop cause its portable, and plus there are alot of programs you can get that allow you to syncronize your desktop and laptop so you won’t have the risk of having files on one computer and not the other… windows 7 does a good job at this..
plus for firefox you can download an addon called “Firefox Sync” and it allows you to basically have multiple firefox browsers (on different computers) and they would be constantly synced with each other.. no more looking for that one bookmark you placed at school/work..
plus im going to new york with school, so i wanan play minecraft on the bus ride there
