Send email anonymously

Hello.
I want to communicate with people online but I don’t want to reveal my IPs or any personal information. I still send email using my email address. They can also email me back and I reply too. But this will leave my IPs and trace in the process.
How can I hide/remove my IPs and other traces?
Is it okay if I use proxy IP *just before* I send the email?
What if I want to hide my email address too (but they can still reply me)?

use a new email and a proxy. make a gmail account and only use proxies. you cant hide your email and let them reply but you can use php mailers to send a message from a fake email but once again no response can happen. these scripts are always used for bad reasons though like fake emails from paypal and stuff.

use TOR
use gmail but not hotmail. (smtp header for X-ip address)
php mailers just use their servers smtp engine to create the mail but the ipaddress in it remains the one from the server, the server can be matched to your ip address.

What do you mean by php mailers? Which one do you recommend? How to use?
Just using online proxy like anonymouse.org , do I hide everything when I send email?
Proxy may just hide your IP. Other info may still be shown.
