Seek bar in MPC isn’t working!
August 23rd, 2013
I uninstalled my MPC and installed the latest one (Media Player Classic with mega codec pack 8.0.0)
But seek bar isn’t working with some files…
Is it a problem with the files or with MPC it self?
as they are running good with WMP
Also if the problem is from the files… can I fix them by converting them to avi for example but hence I’ll need a program that convert without losing the quality
get PotPlayer and see if the seek bar works
yes – MPC problem
no – file problem
Yes, that worked for me…
Now it’s MPC Problem
Media Player Classic
mega codec pack 8.0.0
you may have created a conflict
this just happening with MKV’s ?
No, it does work with MKV
I tried with some files and worked
it doesn’t work with ASF
it doesn't work with ASF
ASf is a M$ codec and not well supported in all players/codecs
so far I have found nothing PotPlayer can’t handle but MPC using it’s default playback codec may have problems with ASF
see if there a way to force MPC to use M$’s default DirectShow codec (Quartz.dll)
don’t use MPC much so I can’t tell you how
and I avoid ASF/WMV/WMA files like the plague so don’t have one of those to test either
I’ve installed VLC and it’s working better than MPC…
I’ll install MPC again later to test using Default DirectShow Codec
Thank you very much
