or you can manually format 35 times (that’s roughly how many it takes before data is eradicated.) most tools you can get now are more efficient than that, as they shred the data (move the bytes around randomly on disk) before formatting.

R-WIPE&CLEAN is very versatile lets you do folders files or drives on demand and scheduled to many standards including the Gutman 35 pass system
and nothing will make it impossible to recover except physical destruction of the platter but unless the FBI or the like are desparate to get you gutman is near enough

use hirens boot cd to clean your harddisk with gutman 35 passes algorithm that is certified by some government that data can not be recovered in anyway from it
so go for it but you have to be patient it takes lot of time so dont try doing that in haste. do it leisurely
