Search Engine not performing correctly

When attempting to do a search for a TV program I had to go through 6 pages of incorrect links to find the one I was looking for.
I searched for “It Ain’t Half Hot Mum” which is an old British Comedy. I set the search to do “Search for any terms or use query as entered” and it excluded “it” however I got every other program as if I had set it to ” Search for all terms” and even some of them were so wrong that no one word in the search query was found.
This has been happening a lot recently.
What seems to be causing this?
