January 25th, 2020

hi guys.
i’m usig ASUS M2N-E mobo with seagate 500 GB sata HDD. till yesterday night pc is booting as usual. suddenly today morning the HDD isnt detected. i’ve checked all the power connections. looks to be no probs with that.
i’ve connected new sata HDD (spare) to check whether old drive is failed. but new HDD also not detected. even in boot menu. pls help me guys

Answer #1
SATA drivers installed?
Answer #2
it may be a bios (enter setup @ boot) problem where for some reason the hard drive controller got mis-configured or disabled
check settings in the bios under “integrated peripherals” or “advanced” tabs
Answer #3
Load the default settings in BIOS.
Hook your drive to another SATA connector on the MB.
It’s not a driver issue. HDDs should be detected by MB before any driver is loaded.
Oh…and change the SATA cable, if you used the same one on both HDDs.
Answer #4
thank you guys..
let me try with connections and bios
Answer #5
I had some experience with external sata hard disks.
It can be a case problem. Hard disk is ok in the case. But “in the case”, connection cables which was connected to harddisk, was made wrong or faulty.
But first, try to update mainboard bios, and install necessary drivers for sata
