Reformatting the MP4’s into AVI’s

Hi,
I’m just needing help getting the new mp4’s into the xvid format so it can be played on our dvd. We just put them on a stick and put it into the dvd player to be watched on tv. Any program paid or free. Please can someone help me?

Handbrake will do it.

Handbrakes the wrong way around…(It converts TO mkv or mp4)
Freemake Video Converter will do..

If what Nel suggests does not work out, I’d recommend you give Avidemux a go as well.
