Question regarding NXE game installing & a Loophole

September 30th, 2022

I’m gonna give you a couple scenarios and you tell me if it’s possible or not. Scenario #1. I have the NXE update. I go pick up my halo 3 and install it on my hard drive. The next day I lose my halo 3 disc and I can’t find it. But my friend has halo 3. He brings his halo 3 and we put in the disc and play off the hard drive. Is this possible or do I need to reinstall my friend’s disc for it to work?
Scenario #2. I have the NXE update. I go rent a game such as cod waw. I bring it home and install it on my hard drive. 5 days later I have to return it but I still have it installed on my hard drive. My dvd drive is not flashed and I’ve never opened my xbox. I go online and burn cod waw on a dl disc properly. Now since I have cod waw already backed up on my hard drive, can I use that burned copy of cod waw and play off my hard drive?
I know I know. I’m desperate. I just realized that I don’t have sata ports on my motherboard.
Final question, If I buy sata ports via pci slot…Can I still flash my dvd drive?

Answer #1
No idea bout NXE questions, but yea you can buy a SATA PCI thingymathing and it’ll work. Theres a specific one that works perfectly but I can’t remember what it is..

First of all, thanx for the reply buddy. I appreciate that.
If you could find out which one I exactly need. That would be awesome. Btw, nxe stands for New Xbox Experience if you didn’t know.
Answer #3
If you go on ebay and search xbox sata you’ll find loads of PCI SATA connectors that are suitable for flashing your 360 (thats what I done since my motherboard doesn’t have any SATA’s)
As for the other questions, I would say yes for the first and no for the second. I’m positive about the second question but I’m not sure about my first answer.
P.S Whats good about installing the games to HDD? I’ve had the NXE for a couple of weeks but I’ve not bothered trying it out yet.

Having the games installed on your hard drive makes your 360 much quieter. It’s as if you are just sitting at the dashboard with no disc spinning.

Supposedly, it also reduces the risk of dropped frames while you are playing an intensive shooter or a game will a lot going on at once. Thanx for the reply.
